Gulliver

Privacy Policy

Gulliver values your privacy. This Privacy Policy is here to explain what the app does with your information. There are no accounts, no analytics and no advertising, and we do not collect or store personal data about you.

Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. The app runs on your device and does not send anything to our servers — we do not run any. To show departures, the app makes requests to Entur’s public transport APIs for the stops and lines you have chosen, and for any stop you search for. If you allow location access, it also sends your approximate coordinates to Entur in order to look up stops near you. These requests are not tied to your identity and are not used to track you.

Location
Location access is optional. Gulliver asks for it only so that the widget can suggest stops near you. It uses approximate accuracy rather than your exact position, and reads your location only while you are using the app. Your most recent position is kept on your device so the widget’s stop picker can use it. You can decline or withdraw this permission at any time in iOS Settings, and the rest of the app carries on working without it.

Data Storage
All data used by the app — your saved stops, your widget setup, and recently fetched departures — is stored locally on your device. You have full control over this data, and deleting the app removes it.

Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking tools. The only external service the app talks to is Entur, Norway’s national public transport data platform, which supplies the departure data. Entur’s own handling of API requests is governed by their terms and privacy practices.

Changes to This Policy
If we ever need to update this policy, we’ll notify you clearly through the app or our website.
